A new baby sister, is there anything better? Welcome to the world, Eva!
Have you ever had someone take a chance on you? Years ago, Raquel and Mike took a chance on me and hired me to take newborn pictures of their son Trent. He was the first newborn I ever photographed and they were one of my very first paying clients. Since then I've had the pleasure and honor of photographing their family a few times, and I really just can't express how much I adore them.
Raquel and Mike - you guys are rockstars. Thanks for taking a chance on me!
Introducing Ranger Holden! This little cutie was born January 9th at 42 weeks, weighing in at 7 lbs 9 oz and 21 inches long. He is even more handsome in person, if you can believe it. Congrats Tracie and Steven!
Remember Aaron and Tammy? They welcomed baby Sienna on October 6th. She arrived two weeks early by complete surprise and entered the world quickly, obviously excited to meet her parents!
I love the meaning behind Sienna's name, as shared by Tammy:
Sienna originally comes from the Italian terra di siena or "earth from Siena" -- a clay with a reddish orange brown color that could be found in abundance near the city-state of Siena, Italy during the Renaissance, when it became popular among artists.
We were drawn to this name and its meaning because of the multiple clay metaphors found in scripture. Isaiah 64:8, uses clay to illustrate that we are God's artful creation, which He forms and directs: "Yet you, Lord, are our Father. We are the clay, you are the potter; we are all the work of your hand."
2 Corinthians 4:7 also uses a clay metaphor: "But we have this treasure [the gospel] in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us." In this case we are likened to fragile "jars of clay" made strong when we carry the good news about God's perfect love for us.
A beautiful name for a beautiful baby! Congratulations Aaron and Tammy! It has been such a blessing to watch you two become parents.
